Our Story
The Sharon Rene’ Schwab Trade School Scholarship was founded to honor a dear friend, host, and member of the Grizzly Mountain long rifle club after Rene’ was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September 2021.
Rene’s influence for good has touched so many in the community. She is a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, as well as a proud resident of central Oregon. She holds great respect for the tradesmen and craftswomen who have built—and will continue to build—America. Those who support the scholarship share that admiration, hoping to aid U.S. veterans and Oregon residents in their pursuit of skilled trade careers. By helping trade school students succeed, we aim to ensure her legacy lives on and to underscore the importance of these vital occupations in our state for generations to come.
